Rocky Mountain National Park Implements New Entrance Fees for 2026 |
Significant Changes for International Visitors and Motorcyclists |
Starting January 1, 2026, Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) will introduce new entrance fees, notably affecting international visitors and motorcyclists. These adjustments aim to enhance park maintenance and visitor services.
International tourists will now pay a $100 per-person entrance fee at RMNP, in addition to the standard vehicle fee. This change aligns with a broader policy affecting 11 popular national parks, including RMNP, to ensure equitable contributions toward park preservation. Additionally, the annual America the Beautiful pass for non-U.S. residents will increase to $250, while remaining at $80 for U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Motorcyclists will also experience changes. The America the Beautiful pass will now cover entrance fees for up to two motorcycles, providing a more cost-effective option for riders.
These fee adjustments are part of a nationwide effort to address budget shortfalls and maintenance needs within the National Park Service. The additional revenue is intended to support infrastructure improvements and enhance the overall visitor experience at RMNP and other national parks.
