New Children's Book Captures the Essence of Estes Park

Local Authors Unveil 'Goodnight Estes Park' with Community Celebration

A delightful new children's book, Goodnight Estes Park, offers families a fresh perspective on the town's unique charm.

Authored by local residents Patrick and Andria Martchink, with illustrations by Andria, this vibrant board book showcases beloved landmarks, scenic trails, and the welcoming spirit of downtown Estes Park.

The official launch event is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10 a.m., hosted by Macdonald Book Shop at the Estes Park Mountain Shop, located at 2050 Big Thompson Avenue.

The event is free and open to the public, featuring a meet-and-greet with the authors, a book reading, light refreshments, and children's activities such as a scavenger hunt, raffle, and door prizes.

As parents of three young children, the Martchinks aimed to create a keepsake that reflects their love for the community.

Patrick expressed, "Our hope is that Goodnight Estes Park will be cherished by locals and visitors for generations to come."

Designed for young readers, the book's vivid illustrations and heartfelt narrative also appeal to adults seeking a meaningful memento of Estes Park.

Pre-orders are available by contacting Macdonald Book Shop at 970-586-3450.

Upon release, the book will be available at select retailers throughout the Estes Valley, priced at $19.99.
